‘Thought Miller’ was inspired by a trip I took to Kandy, in Sri Lanka, in May of 2025, where being idle unlocked my brain revealing the incredible capacity of our brains to think deeply and add meaning to our lives. These thoughts were spurred by mundane observations and encounters which were far from new experiences. Though at the time I was being idle simply because the weather had confined me to the hotel, I later learnt that being idle was the key that unlocked the default mode network of my brain.
Thinking is no longer merely task-oriented and thinking in the default mode network is the most stimulating act I now engage in. Thinking is now part of my daily routine. Here in this blog, I write down those thoughts that were inspired by the mundane and the adventurous things. Thoughts that went through the grind. Thoughts that inspire, teach and transform me, hoping that my readers too would be inspired.
Lastly, dear readers, give your brains a little time, even if it is as short as a short bus ride. When you give that time, you will feel a nudge: a thought trying to burst into light. When you feel that nudge, let it break through and transform your life.
